A PITA Mystery Solved

Apparently not a mystery anymore.

OS : Windows 7/Ubuntu 8.10
Acer Timeline 4810TG
Wireless Adapter : Intel(r) wifi 5100 AGN

The Intel(R) wifi 5100 Agn has been giving me headaches. But not anymore. My wifi connection dropped constantly for no reason. Googled it and found that I'm not alone. I tried various things like changing Adapter settings, resetting my router but nothing but one worked. All I did was changing my wireless channel in my router. It was originally set to channel 1 and I changed it to channel 12. (I just took a wild decision) Bang, My wifi connections is still fine. Today is the second day. I actually saw this fix on the Internet but it was not highlighted. What happens is that some electronic device is interfering my wifi channel. May be its our microwave oven. Not sure. :P Im soo happy now coz I spent a lot on this laptop.

Heres how I tweaked my router.
It's a Prolink Hurricane 6300G
